FLAMENCO CELEBRATION
To end the day dedicated to Ethnic minorities: the gypsy people, a Flamenco Celebration will be offered in the Peña Flamenca La Paquera de Jerez, a socio-cultural centre where the gypsy community and the rest of society come together.
The art of flamenco is the result of a blend of musical cultures that evolved in Andalusia. The gypsy people played an important role in its birth and development, so flamenco is also known as a gypsy art.
The dance performance, the flamenco music and dances in general will create an atmosphere of coexistence, where feelings and emotions will definitely come to the fore. It will be a point of exchange between cultures, and a chance to get to know a bit more about this group, with its amazing musical wealth born out of the interculturality and racial mix. An art that is, in itself, a genuine way of understanding and living life.
