THE WAY HOME (Jibeuro, 2002)
City born and raised, 7 year-old Sang-woo is left in the countryside to stay with his grandmother, an elderly woman unable to speak who has never been out of her village. Used to living in the city, to its luxuries and comforts, things aren’t easy at first. These two completely different people have to live together and try to get along. Sang-woo finds it hard to communicate with a grandmother he hardly knows, and with the nature he has seen little of in his short lifetime. But things can only get better.
