Merel is a studious 13 year-old who lives with her parents and seriously handicapped younger brother, on whom she piles great loving care. But Merel isn’t the happy girl she should be at her age; not knowing why, she is continually bullied by a group of classmates, who hound her constantly and make her life little less than hell. As the situation worsens, Merel starts withdrawing from her family, unable to tell them what’s happening. The bullying hardens her, pulling her down. To overcome the madness, Merel will have to grow up and decide what kind of a girl she wants to become.
