WAR AND RECONCILIATION
The suffering of war doesn’t just fade away with the end of a conflict. A long list of (economic, social, psychological) consequences remains. But perhaps the most difficult aspect to overcome is the hatred accumulated over the years. The end of war brings the complicated task of reconciliation.
Reinstatement of total respect for human rights in a situation of such mistrust is an extremely delicate objective. Responsibilities must be assumed: recognition and repair of the pain caused to all victims of the conflict.
