EZRA (2007)
Ezra, a former child soldier in Sierra Leone tries to return to normal life following the civil war that razed his country. He spends his time going back and forwards between a psychological rehabilitation centre and a national reconciliation court created under the auspices of the United Nations. During the trial he has to confront his sister, who accuses him of having killed their parents. Ezra, who normally fought under the influence of drink and drugs, doesn’t remember any of it. The story of the life of a child forced to become a soldier, trained to kill, obliged to confront himself in order to survive and who tries to recall the past so that he can leave it behind him.
