WOMEN, EXILE, BEAUTY

EXHIBITION:
WOMEN, EXILE, BEAUTY

These 53 photographs are a window brought to us by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) opening out on to the reality of those obliged to leave the place in which they live to flee from war, famine, epidemic or persecution.

In the improvised refugee camps, hope and joy force their way into the scarcity and the difficulties. Life refuses to give up. This is often thanks to the women, who suffer most, along with children, from the forced exodus. These photographs show us the beauty of a dignity that won’t give in, the lesson of life give by so many women amid the tragedy. In their faces we find the best and most beautiful side of the human being.
