Las cigarreras (2007)
Twenty years on, five former workers at the Tabacalera factory in San Sebastián return to find traces of themselves in their place of work almost from childhood. As they wander through the empty spaces, now a centre for cultural creation, these women talk of their memories and experiences, telling anecdotes about how hard it was for women to access industrial work and the struggle for their rights in a factory once employing seven hundred female workers: the San Sebastián cigarette makers. This short film pays tribute to them all.
