Invisibles

INVISIBLES (2006)

CLOSING NIGHT

This is a tale of situations. A look at the people we refuse to see. A desire to give a voice to several of those who remained silent for reasons of indifference. And a humble tribute to those others who never lost sight of them. But above all it is the desire of five directors to draw attention to their real and only protagonists; those we believed and prefer to continue believing are invisible. The ‘invisibles’ are those we choose not to see, those who nevertheless finally appear through our fears and apprehensions, among other reasons, because they never stopped existing. This film endeavours to pay justice to the people and situations overlooked by an often necessary media attention, paying a humble homage to those who never lost track of them. To each and every one of the people who make it possible for the care and insistence of Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) to exist in these forgotten areas. An organisation now celebrating its 20th anniversary of action in Spain. Twenty years of solving and denouncing hundreds of these conflicts the length and breadth of the world.
